Street Kings
Just checked out Street Kings… it’s one of those films about the corrupt side to the justice system. Keanu Reeves is a veteran LAPD cop struggling with life after the death of his wife. Everything gets real deep when there’s evidence showing he might be involved in the execution of a fellow cop. He’s forced into a corrupt scene and starts questioning the loyalties of everyone around him.
The film’s got a pretty good cast, with Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie and Chris Evans… not to mention a few hip-hop heavy hitters and the usual mexican neighborhood gangstas.
A typical David Ayer crime thriller… It’s definitely no Training Day, or even Harsh Times… but still worth a watch, there’s guns, a saweet ride, gangstas, corrupt cops and even a cute little chica! 6|10
